Dancing on Mondays with Marguerite

We are lucky to have Marguerite who comes in every Monday to teach the Juniors the different elements of dance. We always look forward to these sessions as we  learn new groovy moves.

Welcome to Term 1 2017

We have had a really busy start to the year. We have been working really hard to do lots of reading, writing and art to fill up the empty walls in our classroom. We have been learning about why it is important to have classroom rules, how to be a good friend and a good listener. Have a look at some of our wall displays.

Waikowhai Pimary School Production- Alice in Wonderland

After months of hardwork and lots of preparation  our school production was on last week. While it was quite tiring, we still had fun performing and watching the whole school's performance. Room Five had to dress up in rabbit costumes and we danced to the song by the Beatles called Hello Goodbye.

Greedy Cat by Joy Cowley

We enjoyed reading the book called Greedy Cat by Joy Cowley. First we drew our own Greedy Cat. Then we put our Green Thinking Hat on to do some follow up activities. We cut out some pictures of food from supermarket flyers that we thought Greedy Cat would like to eat.
Next we wrote a description of him- what he looks like and acts like. Finally we wrote a narrative about meeting Greedy Cat in the park.
