Taekwondo on Tuesdays

Our PE focus for the term is taekwondo. Taekwondo is the Korean art of self defence. It also teaches us about Courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and developing an indomitable spirit. Every Tuesday we go to the hall for our taekwondo session with our instructor, Mr Brendan Doogan. Have a look at our photos.

 

 

 

 

 

Pink Shirt Day

The whole of Waikowhai Primary School wore pink on Pink Shirt Day. We made our own pink shirts to show the five people that we trust. We know that we can go to them if we have any problems. We also drew pictures of what to do if we see someone being bullied or we are bullied.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ambury Farm Visit

The whole Junior school went to Ambury Farm. We had the opportunity to see the animals, touch some of them and we even got to feed some of them. Margaret and Caroline were the teachers on the farm who took us around. They shared lots of information about farming.
