Building sandcastles with Room 1
Room 1 and Room 2 were very disappointed when our trip to Long Bay was cancelled. So we decided to make sandcastles in our school sandpit. We read the book 'What Does The Tide Bring In?' and Mrs Shinn and Mrs Rai went down to the beach to collect seaweed, shells, driftwood and feathers for us to use to decorate our sandcastles. We had so much fun making them.

Hi Room 2 Amaya here from Manukau in Te Waka Ako. It sounds like a lot of fun you had. I was also really sad that we could't go to the long Bay trip. It remind's me recently when I went to the sand pit and me and my friends made a lot of sand castles. Have you thought about adding some videos of you guys building some sand castles and decorating it ? I really like that you guys still stayed happy and pretended that you were at the beach.
