We had our Duffy Role Model Assembly last week and we were then given the books that we had chosen. Thank you Mainfreight for supporting our school. We really appreciate it.

The Amazing Little Red Riding Robyn Show

New Zealand Playhouse came to our school and put up a play called Little Red Riding Robyn. The story is a mashup of Red Riding Hood and Robyn Hood. There were three actors who played multiple characters from the two stories. It was really funny and we enjoyed it thoroughly. We hope they come again next year.

 

 

 

 

Scooter Safety Skills

Johnny from Auckland Transport taught us how to be safe when using our scooters. He said it is very important that we wear our helmet and that it should be a perfect fit to avoid head injuries. We must always remember the 2 4 1 rule when wearing a helmet. Johnny also taught us how to do an emergency stop, use the back brake, know to stop, watch and walk when crossing on a zebra crossing. We had to practise and practise all the different moves.
