Waikowhai Primary School Cross Country

After weeks of training we were ready to run in the Year 1 and Year Two cross country race. This year was the first time that we were running a longer distance. Even though it was quite tiring, we all managed to finish the race.

World of Maths

We had so much fun in the school hall when we got to try and do different problem solving during our class's session in World of Maths. We had to work together in groups at the different stations. Thank you to the parents who came to support us.

 

 

Forces: Push and Pull

We have been looking at the Pull and Push forces. We discovered that we use this in almost everything that we do. Here are some of the experiments that we did.

You need to pull then push a rocket to make it fly

I used the string to make the pebble move. I pushed it.

I moved the pebble by blowing through a straw. I used the push force.

I pulled the pebble with a rubber band to move it.

We pulled and pushed the playdough to make our Big Bad Wolf sculpture.
