Junior Swimming Demonstation

Last Wednesday Rooms 1, 2, 3 and 4 got to share with our parents what we have been learning in Swimming this year.

Building sandcastles with Room 1

Room 1 and Room 2 were very disappointed when our trip to Long Bay was cancelled. So we decided to make sandcastles in our school sandpit. We read the book 'What Does The Tide Bring In?' and Mrs Shinn and Mrs Rai went down to the beach to collect seaweed, shells, driftwood and feathers for us to use to decorate our sandcastles. We had so much fun making them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Swimming with Room 1 in our school pool.

We go swimming with Room 1 on every Tuesdays and Thursdays. We have been learning about Water Safety and have also been building our confidence in the water. Some of the things we have learnt are how to enter the pool two ways- going down the ladder and from the side of the pool. We have also been putting our face, head and finally our whole body in. Our favourite things to do in the pool are  to play 'Salmon says' and 'Ring a Ring o' Roses.

 

 

 
 

Reading Together with our Year Six Friends

Room is very lucky to be able to work with our Senior students who are going to come in every Thursday to read books with us. Today was our first session and we really enjoyed it. Thank you Sam, Mercedes, Ayva, Shiya,  Lavinia, Jacob, Conrad, Bilal, Clara and Emelio.
